Let us take a moment to introduce ourselves; that's my husband, Rick, over there at the pit getting a brisket ready for tomorrows customers. I'm Sharon, the one at the keyboard, trying frantically to master a brand new website building program! Usually I'm in the kitchen, creating cold slaw, potato salad or seasoning the beans just right, but tonight getting our website updated is more important. I can cook beans in the morning!!

We've been catering for about five years and recently, at the request of customers and friends
we began making a regular appearance in Comanche to offer folks a lunchtime choice to fast-food burgers and chicken.

In coming YEARS as I master this program you'll learn more about us. OK, so the YEARS was Rick's idea. See, you already know he has a weird sense of humor.

Please bear with me as this site grows!!

We are members of the Comanche Chamber of Commerce and active in Chamber programs, including the annual Deer Hunter's Chili Supper, which is designed to welcome seasonal hunters to our area.

As "Halfway Cooks" we pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients available in for all our cooking. Much of the seasonal produce we use is grown in our own garden, then dried, preserved or frozen for use in non-seasonal months.

In our current economy we try to do all we can to support our local businesses. All ingredients not grown or produced here on Halfway Ranch are purchased locally.
